Barry Lopez photograph collection : Apológia, 1997.

These photographs show Barry Lopez and Sandy Tilcock making the tire-tread print segments of USGS topographic maps of Wyoming used in the lone goose fine press edition of Apológia. Includes photographs of the studio interior, visitors, dogs, and tee shirts also printed with the tire tread. Lopez and Tilcock used the inked tire of Lopez's Toyota 4-Runner, which he drove from Oregon to Indiana, a journey described in Apológia.

Barry Lopez is a writer of both fictional short stories and non-fiction works. His awards are numerous: American Academy and Institute of Arts and Letters, Guggenheim Fellowship, a Lannan Foundation Award, John Burroughs Medal for Of Wolves and Men, and National Book Award for Arctic Dreams.
